A couple of months ago I watched a documentary on Netflix called "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and I was motivated to change my lifestyle and eating habits. When I was younger, around 12-13 I believe I ended up in the hospital for a very bad ache on my stomach. I couldn't move and I fainted. I ended up staying in the hospital for about 3 days with IV's on my hands. I was very skinny less than 90 pounds. All I had eaten was a bag of Hot Cheetos and a Pepsi. I was dehydrated. I pretty much learned my lesson, I couldn't eat any meat for years, I stopped drinking soda and it took me 6 years for my stomach to be able to handle things suck as steak, or even a hamburger. Ok, I have to admit I did not eat healthy all throughout my college years because of time and money. Now that I am done with school I am trying to go back on track and change my eating habits. After watching the documentary I decide to try these juices they are talking so much about. I had never liked vegetables let alone raw and mixed together but I am sharing with you a delicious juice for beginners. I am letting you guys know this is not the only thing I eat and this is not a diet. It is just a way to start off to a healthier lifestyle.
What You Need:
1/4 thumb of Ginger
4 Green Apples
2-3 Navel Oranges
4 12'in Celery Sticks
5 cups of Spinach
1. Make sure you wash your fruits and veggies.
2. Cut and Peel all your Ingredients. (Remove seeds)
3. Use your juice extractor taking turns on the fruits and veggies.
Example: You can put in an apple, then some spinach, ginger, orange etc so the taste of the ginger wont be overwhelming.
4. You can drink it as is or add a little ice.
This makes about 3-5 cups of juice that I drink throughout the day with my meals.
Tip: You can prepare your fruits and veggies all at once and separate in plastic bags to make the process faster and easier.
